   the tenant's money  problems
                                                      meant   their number was up.
                                                                                                            we made a deal.
                                                                                                        for a reduced rent
                                                they would use their psychic gifts
          to tell my fortunes.                                                          
                                                      so with such consideration
                                                                                                    they read my leaves   
                my palms                                and my cards.
                                                                                                  but   all that   looking 
                                                              into the futures   
    did not  prevent rent arrears.                                                                                                             as action  bring
                                                            resultant reaction
                                                                                           I  read them    the riot act.
                                                                                           still                    owing me 
                                                 substantially          they flee.
     I  chase them         up hill                down dale.
                                                                                             and  onto  the crossing.
  
                                                     hit by high-speed train.
