wanted :  a wanton

she poached the arm-rest
like a wanted child searching
                         for a missing bird

she'd lost her looks            some years past
traipsing o'er wanton
                      creatures' residence

there had been a time
when she had been one of those
                            remembered faces

now  ( as we strive to recall )
her task was to put
                          others in their plaice.
