ear   -    ear

     The ear-wax-nurse  
                    was  replete       with naughty tails 
                                                                 of  NHS cutbacks 
                              tbph  
    !   i'm up-to-here with it                    she say
                             but(t) advice  is  free.
                                  and if  u want both yer ears  done
                                                                                      then  ! u'll have to wait 
                                                                                 til  the rains come
                           I question the medical logic,
  flash her  a smile     
warm       yet   tragic
                                      then add,           with  weighty aplomb :
               right ear private   !  left ear public        job-lot  ?
                                                                   she flash  her smile      calm    yet     frantic ;
                                                         won't hear of it             any  other  way .
